Grand Opening for the Grand Hall ZOLLVEREIN®
Official opening of the latest Essen event location
Red on white, yellow on red, white on blue. Chairs were lined up in front of the large show stage at the new Essen event location Grand Hall ZOLLVEREIN®. Everything was ready for the 400-guest charity event arranged by Essener Förderturm. But this event was particularly significant. This was the Grand Opening for the Grand Hall, its official launch after several years of elaborate reconstruction and restoration work at the event location. Party Rent was responsible for providing the equipment at the festivities.
At the location in the Ruhr area, the Grand Hall ZOLLVEREIN® fills an important gap, especially in Essen itself: Smaller than the Grugahalle but larger than the Philharmonie and Colosseum, the multi-functional industrial venue has enriched the event market as a space suitable for all formats and accommodating from 25 up to 2,500 people.
The occasion for the Grand Opening followed a trend. At the pre-opening, the first official event in early 2017, the Grand Hall also hosted Förderturm guests. Just six months later, the annual charity gala for the Charity Golf Cup is a fitting occasion as one of the largest donation initiatives in the region, bringing together an influential network of business and politics.
The Grand Hall ZOLLVEREIN® is designed as a one-stop event location. A 360° service package provided by cooperation partners covers all areas required by planners for their events. Party Rent supplied a tailored equipment concept, which included colourful DSW chairs in the Förderturm-CI tower and black RAK porcelain on the tables in the main hall. An industry-oriented reception area was created in the foyer using the new Bornholm series and Flow Stool. Integrated between old machines and control panels, the remnants of the building's industrial past, the concept revealed its full effect.
